Faith Ambassador weekly update

The Faith Ambassadors have recently been encouraging the Wednesday Word competition. This is a religious competition where the children can read the Gospel and complete the puzzles all about the weekly Gospel. Due to more people entering every week, we have decided to have a KS1 and KS2 box for the entries.

The Piety stall is still on every Friday located on the KS2 playground. If you know anyone making their Confirmation or Holy Communion then the Piety stall is the place to go.

Some of the Faith Ambassadors joined our Year Three's Reconciliation on Sunday 24th of March, 2019. We invite anyone to come to our variety of religious events. On the 28th of March, 2019, Year 3 and Year 6 had their Holy Communion and  Confirmation meetings. Year 6 worked really hard to display and make a project all about their chosen Saints for Confirmation.

A few of the Faith Ambassadors have been working on their own Prayer service's in preparation for Holy week. These will be before school during that week.

Teaching Y5

Today I had a wonderful afternoon teaching in Year 5.  The children's behaviour was fantastic and they gave some well-considered responses to some challenging questions in the R.E. lesson.

Towards the end of the day, we looked at a Lipogram that had been written by Alan Peat.  A Lipogram requires you to rewrite a story or indeed write an original story whilst omitting a specific letter.  We read Cinderella but the author was not permitted to use the letter 'o'!  Try it out!  It would be great to see your efforts - there may even be a prize for the best one!

Thank you for a great afternoon 5C!
